2020年7/5~9/21にWAKA×YAMA SUMMER IDEATHON 2020 ～和歌山県民のメンタルヘルスを改善せよ～を開催しました。
今年は11チーム35人の中高生が参加しました。
約3ヶ月間、中高生が主体となって和歌山県の課題であるメンタルヘルスに取り組み、解決策を考えました。
新型コロナウイルス感染症の拡大防止のため、教育プログラムはオンラインで行いました。自らヒアリングを行い、現状から見えてきた課題を解決するためにチームの仲間や大学生のメンターと協力し、充実した2ヶ月を過ごしました。
9/21のシンポジウムのみオフラインで行い、保護者や関係者の方の前でプレゼンテーションをしました。
一般の方向けにはYouTubeでオンライン配信を行いました。シンポジウムには約300人の応募申し込みを頂きました。
このプロジェクトを通して、多くの素晴らしいアイデアが生まれましたが、「SOS発信プロジェクト」を発案したCOLORが優勝しました。
